📋 Description

• Provide regulatory compliance and sustainability assessment expertise for bio-based materials, sustainable fuels, feedstocks and related value chains • Contribute to defining assessment scope, system boundaries and methodologies under EU RED, CORSIA, RSB and other relevant frameworks • Review third-party GHG inventory data, perform consistency and plausibility checks, validate assumptions and identify data gaps • Propose defensible proxies or literature-based values where appropriate • Support or perform GHG calculations and carbon-intensity assessments using relevant methodologies and tools, including the RSB GHG Calculator • Prepare GHG, LCA or sustainability assessment reports with methodologies, assumptions, data-quality notes, results and interpretation • Support technical understanding of sustainable bio-material pathways and low-ILUC risk considerations • Support regulatory and voluntary-scheme gap analyses and compliance-risk identification • Review third-party organisational documentation against applicable criteria • Review certification-readiness documentation, including feedstock origin, traceability, chain of custody, sustainability criteria and GHG claims • Interpret policy and regulatory requirements for feedstocks, technologies, products or markets using data and literature reviews • Translate findings into practical compliance options • Develop or refine methodologies, blueprints and decision tools for innovative sustainability assessments • Produce scoping notes, GHG data review notes, calculations, assessment reports, eligibility assessments, benchmarking analyses, certification-readiness reviews and regulatory interpretation notes • Complete onboarding and participate in project-based assignments when relevant needs are identified

🎯 Requirements

• Strong written and spoken English proficiency • Minimum 4 hours per day overlapping with CET working hours • Proven output/delivery track record in the area of expertise • Compliance with applicable local laws and regulations, including tax and social security obligations • Legal authorisation to perform consultancy services in the country of residence or operation • Strong collaboration and communication skills • Ability to operate autonomously and proactively communicate progress, risks, and opportunities • Self-sufficiency in a remote, fully digital working environment with reliable internet connectivity • Proven hands-on experience applying EU RED, CORSIA, RSB or equivalent GHG and sustainability methodologies • Working knowledge of at least one major voluntary sustainability certification scheme, preferably RSB, ISCC or another relevant scheme • Ability to assess feedstock eligibility, GHG data quality, certification readiness or regulatory compliance • Ability to work independently with limited onboarding and document assumptions transparently • Ability to flag uncertainty, data gaps and compliance risks • Strong written English and effective reporting skills for technical and non-technical audiences • Comfort working with client-provided data under confidentiality constraints • CET ±5 hours time-zone compatibility unless otherwise agreed • For firms/agencies: ability to assign qualified personnel and ensure continuity of delivery • For firms/agencies: named individuals must meet the essential criteria • Desirable: working knowledge of the RSB standard or ISCC • Desirable: hands-on experience using the RSB GHG Calculator • Desirable: experience developing methodologies, blueprints or decision tools for emerging pathways, bio-based materials, fuels or chemicals
