📋 Description

• Build core AI systems, including agents, pipelines, and evaluation infrastructure for Smart Bricks • Build multi-step agents, tool-use systems, and workflows for sourcing, underwriting, due diligence, IC memos, and portfolio monitoring • Own RAG and document pipelines, model routing, prompt and context engineering, and structured outputs into Excel and IC formats • Build evaluations and observability for accuracy, cost, latency, and reliability, ensuring financial numbers trace back to source • Build reusable connectors, data pipelines, and infrastructure components • Embed with clients to understand their data, workflows, and decisions • Partner with the GTM team on discovery and scoping calls, technical planning, and account expansion • Prototype, validate, deploy, and iterate on solutions with clients through production • Own the technical client relationship from first deployment through rollout • Convert one-off client builds into product features

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years shipping production software, ideally in Python and/or TypeScript • Deep hands-on experience building with LLMs in production: agents, RAG, tool use, evals and context engineering (LangGraph, LlamaIndex, MCP or similar) • Strong grasp of the AI landscape, including model selection and accuracy/cost/speed trade-offs • Solid ML fundamentals: evaluation, problem decomposition, and knowing when not to use an LLM • Builder's track record as a founding engineer, early startup hire, ex-founder, ex-CTO, or owner of end-to-end outcomes on a top engineering team • Comfortable explaining technical trade-offs to clients and building solutions • Fast and pragmatic approach to shipping • Cloud fundamentals (AWS, GCP or Azure) • Experience with data pipelines • Awareness of enterprise security, including data isolation, access controls, and no training on client data • Comfortable working across UK and GCC hours
