📋 Description

• Maintain the security, availability, and ongoing operation of Mainframe systems hosted on IBM’s cloud service for on-demand z/OS development and test environments • Provide non-routine technical support for computer and data center operations • Install, configure, upgrade, tune, and troubleshoot Mainframe z/OS • Apply PTFs and maintenance via SMP/E, perform IPLs, and tune system parameters • Install and configure RACF, ACF2, and TSS • Monitor, track, and document system performance and utilization metrics • Automate manual and repetitive tasks using scripting and configuration management systems • Assist with installation, configuration, and testing of newer SailPoint Mainframe connector releases • Improve and standardize existing processes • Determine and document outage root causes, duration, and resolution recommendations • Analyze trends and suggest short- and long-term improvements • Assist with change management, implement change requests, and meet project deliverables • Respond to general inquiries • Collaborate with Product Engineering and Information Technology groups

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / Engineering or equivalent relevant experience • 10+ years of solid experience working as a System Administrator in an enterprise environment • Prior experience maintaining Mainframe z/OS environments and security products such as RACF, ACF2, and TSS • Experience installing and configuring the Mainframe z/OS operating system, z/VM, z/PDT and HDISV • Experience installing and configuring RACF, ACF2, or TSS • Experience in REXX, JCL, and SMP/E • Strong understanding of Linux, networking, firewalls, etc. • Strong ability to self-learn new technologies • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines while multitasking among concurrent projects • Strong planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills • Ability to work after hours, including weekends and nights, when required • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills • Ability to communicate highly technical information to technical and non-technical personnel • TCP/IP programming, IBM/C, or SAS/C experience is an added advantage
