📋 Description

• Architect and optimize high-throughput, sub-100ms latency backend serving integration layers for real-time recommendation models • Build and maintain local developer tooling, emulation scripts, and runtime harnesses for feature engineering platforms such as Zipline • Design scalable API contracts and integration frameworks connecting downstream applications with ML inference outputs • Optimize prediction endpoints for memory efficiency, concurrency, and cold-start performance in Fargate and EKS environments • Implement operational monitoring, error handling, and graceful degradation strategies for mission-critical ML APIs • Mentor engineering teams on performant, production-grade backend code

🎯 Requirements

• 25+ years of software engineering experience, with a heavy focus on high-performance backend systems and API design • Expertise in Python, Go, or Java • Experience building scalable microservices • Deep understanding of high-throughput architectures, load balancing, caching strategies, and performance profiling • Experience integrating ML models into production serving layers, including FastAPI, gRPC, or TorchServe • Familiarity with streaming feature stores and latency constraints of real-time machine learning inference • Focus on system stability, code quality, and operational excellence
