SASH is a Singapore-based organization building a global ecosystem for trustworthy and safe frontier AI. It bridges governments, academics and industry across East and West to advance practical, technical AI governance research (verification mechanisms, frontier safety, agent governance) and to operationalize that research through fellowships, training programs for policymakers and practitioners, events, briefings, and a co-working hub for AI governance and safety practitioners.

⢠Design challenge protocols to determine how much of an AI compute cluster can be externally accounted for ⢠Measure whether real accelerators can satisfy challenge protocols through microbenchmarking and challenge-kernel development ⢠Characterise high-bandwidth memory behavior under adversarial conditions ⢠Determine whether measurements support claims suitable for international agreements ⢠Collaborate with cryptographers and hardware-security colleagues ⢠Implement candidate challenge functions and measure honest-response latency across real cluster topologies ⢠Quantify and reduce spare capacity that a cluster could retain while passing challenges ⢠Study adversarial compression of frontier-model weights and KV caches ⢠Design and evaluate post-training methods that increase compression costs without materially harming models ⢠Quantify hidden memory capacity and design protocol changes to make hiding it ineffective ⢠Extend verification from memory occupancy to compute through proof-of-useful-work schemes ⢠Test protocols end to end against live inference clusters and document failures ⢠Design red-team/blue-team protocol competitions and red-team timing assumptions ⢠Publish research findings, including negative results
⢠GPU performance or systems measurement experience, including kernels, microbenchmarks, memory hierarchies, or distributed timing, or a cryptographic background with willingness to work hands-on with hardware ⢠Rigorous measurement practices, including assessing how measurements can be fooled ⢠Ability to account for adversarial behavior while optimizing systems ⢠Comfort working on protocols that may fail and publicly reporting negative results ⢠Ability to thrive in ambiguous, early-stage environments ⢠CUDA or equivalent low-level accelerator programming experience may be advantageous ⢠Compression, information theory, or model quantisation experience may be advantageous ⢠Background in timing-based protocols, proofs of space or time, or distance bounding may be advantageous ⢠Experience characterising undocumented hardware may be advantageous ⢠Familiarity with LLM inference internals, including batching, KV cache management, and scheduling, may be advantageous ⢠Candidates must be able to work remotely from Singapore, the UK, or another eligible remote location; UK visa sponsorship is available for relocation
⢠Competitive benefits and leave policies ⢠Visa sponsorship in the UK for candidates interested in relocating ⢠Remote/flexible work arrangement ⢠Globally distributed team with working-hour flexibility across regions
