📋 Description

• Maintain the security, reliability, and availability of critical systems infrastructure • Design and evolve scalable, observable, and secure platform architecture • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver business outcomes • Deliver highly available, scalable, and resilient platforms and services • Build, automate, and enhance on-premises containerised and virtualised workloads • Develop infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD pipelines • Provide platform capabilities, tooling, and environments that accelerate development delivery • Champion monitoring, alerting, incident response, and post-incident reviews • Improve platform performance, cost efficiency, and developer experience • Contribute to technical documentation, standards, and knowledge sharing • Provide escalation support, technical guidance, mentoring, and training to systems team members • Own assigned projects and business outcomes end-to-end with minimal oversight • Participate in on-call rotation for platform reliability and critical incident response

🎯 Requirements

• Passionate about open-source, modern infrastructure, and continuous improvement • Understanding of the telecommunications industry and its operational and technology landscape • Hands-on Kubernetes experience, including cluster lifecycle management and performance tuning • Expert-level Linux system administration and orchestration, focused on automation and scale • Experience designing and operating highly available, distributed production systems • Background with service mesh technologies such as Istio or Linkerd and multi-cluster architectures • Proficiency with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Tinkerbell, and Helm • Security-first platform and service design knowledge, including secure configuration, encryption, network segmentation, and compliance frameworks • Familiarity with observability stacks such as Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, Otel, and Jaeger • Experience with open-source ecosystems and open/industry standards, including CNCF projects, OCI, and IETF standards/protocols • Strong foundation in GitOps and automation tooling, including ArgoCD, Git, CI/CD, and Flux • Experience with networking concepts in containerised and virtualised environments, including BGP, load balancing, ingress/egress, eBPF/XDP, and VPP • Proficiency with Go or Python for scripting is desired • Ability to solve problems and think like a leader • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing situations • Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation
