📋 Description

• Define digital architectures for next-generation telecommunication systems • Design complex boards based on FPGAs, microprocessors, and SoCs to manage high-speed digital interfaces • Develop solutions involving DDR memories, SerDes, SpaceWire, high-speed serial links, and advanced processing architectures • Perform RTL design, simulation, synthesis, timing closure, and hardware bring-up • Work with multi-gigabit serial links • Perform signal integrity and power integrity analyses • Provide technical decisions throughout the complete product lifecycle, from concept to qualification • Collaborate with international multidisciplinary teams across Europe • Take technical ownership of FPGA and programmable logic design within Aerospace and Defense systems • Influence key hardware architecture and design decisions throughout the project lifecycle

🎯 Requirements

• A degree in Electronic Engineering or a related discipline • Approximately 3 years or more of FPGA development experience • Experience with FPGA and/or SoC-based designs • Experience with high-speed digital electronics, such as 1GB+ Ethernet, PCIe, SpaceFibre, Aurora, JESD204, WizardLink, etc. • Expertise in VHDL-2008 RTL design, simulation, synthesis, timing closure, and hardware bring-up • Knowledge of ECSS and/or MIL-STD standards • Experience with ModelSim/Questasim and/or Riviera-PRO, or comparable verification tools • Experience with the board development lifecycle • Italian proficiency (fluent) • English proficiency (fluent, oral and written) • Nice to have: Defence and/or Aerospace industry experience • Nice to have: Radiation-tolerant FPGA experience • Proficiency in V&V methodologies (UVM, OSVVM, UVVM) and RTL linting for VHDL-2008 designs • SystemVerilog (UVM) skills • Knowledge of Siemens Xpedition and/or Altium 365 • Practical hardware debugging skills using oscilloscopes, logic analysers, and protocol analysis tools • Problem solving, good communication skills, goal-oriented approach, self-driven, proactive, and teamwork
