📋 Description

• Report to the institution’s Director-General • Ensure the development and coordination of the annual activity plan • Manage water resources in an integrated manner within the jurisdiction • Supervise the monitoring, operation, maintenance, and use of hydraulic infrastructure • Ensure revenue collection • Manage personnel and implement the institution’s performance contract • Organize, plan, coordinate, and control the Division’s activities • Supervise and carry out the Division’s activities, including the respective implementation reports • Analyze results, identify deviations, and implement corrective and preventive actions • Provide advice to the General Directorate within the relevant area of responsibility • Participate in the development of policies and strategic plans • Manage the Organic Unit’s human, physical, and financial resources • Perform any other duties assigned by law or recommended by senior management

🎯 Requirements

• Hold at least a bachelor’s degree in a field relevant to the role • Have held a management position in the water resources sector • Have at least 8 years of experience in water resources management activities, including field experience in hydraulic infrastructure, hydrometry, and water-use registration • Knowledge of the policies and legislation applicable to water resources and hydraulic works in Mozambique, including national and regional organizational and management structures • Knowledge of planning and water resources management support tools, including flood forecasting tools • In-depth knowledge of operational water resources management, particularly hydrometeorological monitoring, water quality, water-use registration, and water uses • Knowledge of the regulations governing public institutes and other applicable legislation • Relevant knowledge of hydrology • Proven experience in management, administration, and revenue collection • Strong communication skills; honest, responsible, motivational, and capable of leading others • Must not have been dismissed from public service • Willingness to reside anywhere in the country
