📋 Description

• Own technical discovery for prospective merchants and map their technology stacks, checkout flows, and constraints to the appropriate Sezzle integration path • Lead product demos and technical presentations for merchant engineering and business stakeholders • Design integration solutions across Sezzle’s API, SDKs, platform plugins, and custom builds • Write technical proposals and complete RFP and security questionnaire responses • Support merchant mobile app integrations, including SDK implementation, in-app checkout, and native versus webview handoff • Validate integrations in sandbox and production before launch, including checkout flow, widget and messaging placement, redirects, handoffs, and settlement • Troubleshoot live integration issues with Support and Engineering and communicate the technical resolution to merchants • Translate recurring merchant needs into product feedback and advocate for fixes that unblock revenue • Build and maintain integration documentation, runbooks, and internal enablement materials • Act as a trusted technical advisor after launch and identify optimization opportunities • Partner with Sales, Product, and Engineering to scope merchant needs, design integrations, and drive custom solutions to launch

🎯 Requirements

• 4+ years in a customer-facing technical role such as solutions engineering, sales engineering, implementation, solutions architecture, or technical account management • Experience with mobile SDK integrations on iOS and Android • Experience supporting enterprise merchants through complex, multi-stakeholder integrations with custom-built commerce stacks • Hands-on experience with REST APIs and webhooks, and ability to critically read API documentation • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript • Familiarity with at least one major e-commerce platform: Shopify, BigCommerce, Magento, WooCommerce, or Wix • Understanding of e-commerce workflows including cart, checkout, payment authorization and capture, refunds, shipping, and product management • Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences and business context clearly to engineers • Strong written communication for documentation and proposals • Comfort managing several merchant integrations simultaneously in a fast-moving environment • Ability to read code in at least one language well enough to debug a merchant implementation • Demonstrated ability to use AI tools effectively for research, technical documentation, problem-solving, and workflow automation • Preferred: experience at a payments company, PSP, or BNPL provider • Preferred: familiarity with payment gateway architecture and alternative payment methods at checkout • Preferred: experience with in-store or omnichannel payment integrations • Preferred: bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
