📋 Description

• Design, prototype, and build production-ready agentic workflows, custom orchestration layers, and tool-calling integrations • Move AI prototypes into robust, production-grade microservices on Azure • Ensure AI components are scalable, low-latency, and integrated into the broader technology stack • Experiment with and integrate Model Context Protocol (MCP), advanced RAG patterns, vector pipelines, and structured LLM outputs • Establish operational frameworks for experiment tracking, evaluations, prompt engineering, latency optimization, token budget governance, and model observability • Mentor agent-focused engineering squads • Lead technical design reviews and set coding standards • Benchmark new models, AI tools, and architectures and translate breakthroughs into practical implementations • Work with data scientists, software engineers, and product leaders to design, prototype, and ship AI systems into production

🎯 Requirements

• Experienced, hands-on Staff AI Engineer with deep practical expertise in modern GenAI/LLM ecosystems and strong backend software engineering skills • Proven experience building with agentic frameworks such as Microsoft Agent Framework, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, OpenAI Agents SDK, or custom orchestration frameworks • Practical experience with Model Context Protocol (MCP), tool/function calling, structured LLM outputs, and complex RAG pipelines • Experience with evaluation frameworks, prompt engineering, tracing, context window optimization, and compute/token governance in production • High proficiency in Python, required for AI ecosystem work • Strong experience in object-oriented programming (OOP) • Experience building and scaling backend microservices and REST/OpenAPI endpoints in enterprise cloud environments, specifically Azure • Familiarity with vector databases, relational databases, and event-driven patterns such as Azure Service Bus and Kafka • Comfortable with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, testing methodologies, and Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or Bicep • Proactive builder able to turn ambitious ideas into working code • Ability to explain complex AI concepts and architectures clearly to technical and non-technical partners • Ability to experiment with new models, libraries, and research papers and extract product value • Ability to collaborate, mentor, conduct pair programming, code reviews, and pragmatic design discussions
