📋 Description

• Design and build robust, scalable backend services in Node.js and NestJS (Express) • Create and maintain high-performance RESTful APIs • Build for financial correctness, including idempotency, reconciliation, retries, and well-defined failure states • Model and manage relational data primarily in PostgreSQL • Make architectural and system-design decisions and own the trade-offs • Ensure optimal service performance and own production deployments end-to-end • Raise engineering standards through code reviews, pairing, and technical standards • Mentor engineers and lead technical discussions • Work across multiple workstreams in a dynamic, high-growth startup environment • Collaborate closely with Product and other engineering teams to scale the platform

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience • 5+ years of backend development experience • Solid depth in Node.js and NestJS (Express) • Proven experience designing and operating RESTful APIs in production • Advanced knowledge of relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL • Experience writing unit and integration tests • Strong grasp of design principles and architectural patterns • Track record of shipping features independently and owning service performance • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and mentor others effectively • Excellent problem-solving and analytical thinking • Experience with cloud platforms, specifically Google Cloud Platform (GCP), desirable • Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes, desirable • Experience with RabbitMQ, Kafka, or Pub/Sub, desirable • Experience building in fintech, payments, or credit, desirable • Spanish and English proficiency, desirable
