📋 Description

• Establish and maintain metadata governance frameworks • Ensure compliance with DoD data management policies and interoperability with Data Catalog • Develop automated metadata tagging processes • Improve data discoverability, classification, and lineage tracking within the Common Intelligence Picture (CIP) platform • Implement and manage data governance workflows • Integrate with OpenLineage, Unity Catalog, and GIS metadata standards • Submit the Metadata & Data Governance Compliance Report • Detail lineage tracking, classification policies, and security enhancements in the compliance report • Support a scalable, federated data ecosystem for a DoD customer • Enable interoperability, real-time information sharing, dynamic data integration, and mission-tailored analytical capabilities

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Information Management, GIS, or a related field, or five (5) years of equivalent experience in data governance, metadata management, or geospatial data integration • Knowledge and capability to develop, implement, and maintain data governance frameworks • Proficiency in metadata management, data lineage tracking (Unity Catalog/OpenLineage), schema alignment, and governance best practices • Expertise in geospatial data standards, data cataloging, and compliance with DoD metadata policies • Experience implementing metadata governance frameworks for structured and unstructured data in cloud-based environments • Experience tracking data lineage and ensuring metadata synchronization across a Data Catalog, ESRI Kubernetes, and enterprise metadata repositories • Experience utilizing OpenLineage, Apache Atlas, or similar tools for metadata and data lineage management • Experience enforcing compliance with DoD metadata policies and NSG tradecraft standards for geospatial datasets • Preferred certifications: Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP), DAMA Certified Data Governance Professional (DGSP), or ESRI Geospatial Data Management Certification • No clearance required
