📋 Description

‱ Advise senior officials ‱ Assist USMILGP-Iraq in managing and executing ministerial-level advisory activities ‱ Develop ministerial engagement strategies that improve institutional effectiveness and long-term capability development ‱ Facilitate timely decision-making and information-sharing processes through observation, analysis, and reporting ‱ Build and maintain professional relationships with senior ministry officials and other government agencies ‱ Establish trusted relationships through frequent direct engagement with ministry leadership ‱ Assist in the development, implementation, and oversight of policies and procedures that improve organizational and individual performance ‱ Support civil-military integration and democratic governance practices within defense institutions ‱ Provide advice, reports, briefings, and recommendations on integration of military and civilian elements within ministry headquarters, and improvement of coordination among directorates, departments, and agencies ‱ Plan and manage operational and administrative planning

🎯 Requirements

‱ Active in Scope Secret clearance ‱ Must be a U.S. Citizen ‱ Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline ‱ Fluent in Arabic and full professional fluency in English (Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing) ‱ Fluent in Kuridsh and full professional fluency in English (Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing) ‱ Thorough understanding of the Iraqi Ministry of Defense organizational structure and operations ‱ Previous strategic-level experience with U.S. forces in Iraq since 2011 as either a civilian contractor, or a uniformed service member ‱ Significant knowledge and experience in civil-military relations, democratic governance and defense institution building ‱ Strong written and verbal communication skills ‱ Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

‱ Work is performed in a combination of office and outdoor environments ‱ Outdoor duties may require working in extreme heat and hot, dry, and dusty conditions ‱ Normal work hours are Monday through Friday, 0800-1600; however, contractor personnel will be on call outside of normal hours to respond to both emergent issues and crises ‱ Contractor personnel will respond to emergent issues as soon as possible, but no later than within 2 hours to any on-installation location 24 hours a day, 7 days a week ‱ Services under this contract are essential during crises. Per Department of Defense Instruction (DODI) 1100.22 Policy and Procedures for Determining Workforce Mix and Air Force implementation the Contractor must be available to perform duties during crises up to 24 hours a day, including off-duty and holiday periods ‱ All special/cultural events must be approved in writing by the applicable commander or designated representative and coordinated through the COR or designated representative ‱ Work performance shall be required during US Federal and HN holidays
