📋 Description

• Design, develop and implement Backend components spanning APIs, serverless functions, distributed services, queue systems, data storage services and more • Contribute to architectural trade-off decisions at system and application levels, considering performance requirements and external constraints • Contribute to and implement security and data-protection best practices across systems • Maintain effective test suites and write clean code and documentation • Work with technical leads and clients to gather requirements, align expectations and provide deliverable updates • Follow Loka’s career track by demonstrating technical excellence, innovation, autonomy, ownership, communication and teamwork • Report directly to a Backend Lead • Stay current with industry trends and incorporate cutting-edge techniques and tools into projects • Collaborate cross-functionally with Machine Learning, Data Engineering and other teams for seamless Backend integration • Take full responsibility for assigned tasks and projects, ensuring accountability for outcomes and results

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years Backend development • Fluent in Python or NodeJs (Typescript) • Strong CS foundation • Understanding of API/Web communication protocols (openapi, grpc, etc) • Understand concurrency concepts in APIs/Web • Understand cloud services and landscape • Understand traditional and serverless architectures • Capable of working container-first • Excellent English: As a global team we work entirely in English for meetings, customer calls and business communications • CV written in English
