📋 Description

• Own the Platform roadmap for robotic-cell software and the simulation pipeline • Run discovery and prioritisation, turning customer, engineering, and leadership ideas into evidenced jobs to be done • Convert prioritised jobs into initiatives, write specifications, set milestones, and sequence work against the company roadmap • Determine the appropriate level of specification and identify costly mistakes before development • Run cycle planning for the Platform pillar and define cycle outcomes • Track initiative milestones with technical leads and resolve estimate/target conflicts through scope, staffing, or schedule changes • Sign off that delivered work meets specified requirements and quality standards • Work daily with team leads and senior engineers on technical trade-offs involving perception accuracy, cycle time, simulation fidelity, speed, and delivery quality • Collaborate with deployment teams to ensure Platform releases work on customers’ factory floors • Bring high-mix manufacturers’ operators’ and facility managers’ needs into prioritisation decisions

🎯 Requirements

• Robotics engineering background; must have built and shipped robot software in perception, motion planning, manipulation, or robotics simulation as an engineer or technical lead • Senior product experience owning a technical product area with 10 or more engineers from problem definition through shipment • Experience writing specifications and requirements for products with a high cost of change • Estimation and delivery discipline, including milestones, risk-stated estimates, and honest reforecasting • Ability to argue from evidence and challenge or be challenged by senior engineers • Excellent written English • Working grasp of learned robotics, including ML-driven perception and control alongside classical methods • Industrial automation or high-mix manufacturing experience is advantageous • Hands-on experience with simulation tooling such as Isaac Sim is advantageous • Experience as the first or most senior product person in a technical area is advantageous • Serious daily use of AI tools in product work is advantageous
