📋 Description

• Use AI agents such as Claude Code and Cursor to design, build, debug, and optimize software • Build and scale the backend of the AI interview engine in Python using FastAPI and serverless Azure • Design APIs and bring them into production • Evolve survey definition and execution with strong validation • Shape the LLM interviewer's conversational behavior and rigorously evaluate changes • Integrate messaging, voice, and participant-recruitment channels • Design PostgreSQL data models and migrations • Expose engine data to dashboards, exports, and the data platform • Own reliability and observability through automated tests, deterministic LLM-flow tests, monitoring, tracing, and alerting • Use Terraform, CI/CD, and secrets management on Azure • Build security, privacy, and compliance into sensitive participant-data handling in a SOC 2 and HIPAA-compliant environment • Write design documents for significant changes and review teammates' work • Collaborate with product, research scientists, frontend engineers, and data engineers • Own major parts of the survey language, execution engine, conversational behavior, APIs, data, and cloud infrastructure

🎯 Requirements

• At least 3 years of backend development experience in Python • Proven experience designing and running APIs in production (FastAPI or similar) • Strong relational database skills, particularly PostgreSQL • Experience with ORMs and migrations (SQLAlchemy/SQLModel, Alembic) • Production experience building LLM-driven applications, including prompt design, structured outputs, tool use or agents, and evaluating non-deterministic behavior • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, including serverless or event-driven architectures such as queues and functions • Understanding of software engineering best practices, including testing with pytest, code review, and CI/CD • Experience with Terraform or conversational and voice products is a strong plus • Working knowledge of TypeScript, Node.js/NestJS, or React is a plus • Daily use of AI agentic tools such as Claude Code and Cursor; knowledge of context, rules, MCP servers, and subagents • University degree in Computer Science or a related field • Independent, proactive, and able to deliver features end to end with minimal supervision • Fluent in English, written and spoken • Comfortable working remotely with substantial overlap with US Eastern and UK hours • Must be based in Türkiye
