📋 Description

• Report to the Director of Engineering • Lead and grow a team of engineers building Sysdig's runtime agent • Own technical direction, hiring, employee growth, and performance management • Review designs and code across the team • Unblock engineers on technically challenging problems • Stay hands-on with demanding, cross-cutting technical work • Partner with product, detection, and security research teams to add functionality to the runtime agent without regressing production performance or stability

🎯 Requirements

• Experience leading a team of engineers, including hiring, mentoring, and managing performance • Extensive experience building and operating low-level, performance-critical systems software in C and C++ • Working experience with containerized and orchestrated systems, including Kubernetes and containerd • Familiarity with cgroups • Deep working knowledge of OS internals and instrumentation techniques such as eBPF or kernel modules • Proficiency in Linux internals required • Experience operating distributed systems at scale • Experience managing a distributed team • Experience planning against a long-term roadmap and features spanning different teams • Expertise in Go or Rust is a plus • Experience growing a team through rapid product change • Good knowledge of Windows and/or Mac internals is a plus
