⢠Assist lawyers with preparation of litigation and criminal defence cases, including drafting legal documents, organizing discovery, and managing client communication. ⢠Conduct detailed legal research relevant to commercial disputes, regulatory compliance, debt recovery, and criminal law matters across Australian jurisdictions. ⢠Prepare and review documents including pleadings, affidavits, subpoenas, briefs, court forms, and correspondence. ⢠Maintain and manage case files, deadlines, and legal databases in support of ongoing litigation or criminal proceedings. ⢠Liaise with clients, barristers, court personnel, and opposing counsel as required. ⢠Support lawyers in trial preparation including document bundles, timelines, and evidence review. ⢠Ensure all procedural and filing requirements are met in line with Australian court practices and criminal procedures.
⢠Diploma or Certificate in Legal Studies or Paralegal Studies; Law degrees are highly regarded. ⢠Minimum of 3 years of experience as a paralegal supporting litigation or criminal law practitioners in Australia. ⢠Strong knowledge of Australian court systems, litigation procedures, and legal terminology. ⢠Proficiency in legal research tools and litigation management systems (e.g., SmokeBall, LEAP). ⢠Excellent drafting skills and attention to procedural accuracy. ⢠Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work remotely and independently.
