📋 Description

• Own and continuously improve cloud infrastructure and platform capabilities supporting applications, data systems, and engineering teams • Identify and deliver improvements to reliability, scalability, security, performance, cost efficiency, developer experience, and operational effectiveness • Design, build, and maintain secure, scalable cloud infrastructure using infrastructure-as-code and cloud-native practices • Build automation, self-service capabilities, reusable infrastructure patterns, and platform tooling to eliminate repetitive operational work • Improve Kubernetes and container-based infrastructure for standardized and reliable deployment, scaling, recovery, and operations • Own and evolve CI/CD and GitOps workflows • Partner with Software Engineers, Product Engineers, Analytics Engineers, and Technology teams to build platform solutions • Improve observability through monitoring, logging, tracing, alerting, dashboards, and actionable service health indicators • Lead technical investigations during complex production incidents and drive systemic improvements • Improve resilience, disaster recovery, backup strategies, security controls, access management, and infrastructure risk • Evaluate infrastructure and architecture for cost efficiency and reduce unnecessary spend • Apply AI-assisted engineering to infrastructure development, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, automation, documentation, and operations • Contribute to architectural decisions and long-term platform strategy • Define and champion engineering standards, operational practices, reusable patterns, and platform capabilities • Mentor engineers and raise standards for infrastructure ownership, automation, reliability, and operational excellence

🎯 Requirements

• Demonstrated ability to independently identify infrastructure and operational problems, determine root causes, design solutions, and drive improvements through implementation and measurable results • Proven track record owning business-critical production infrastructure and complex platform initiatives with minimal oversight • Strong judgment balancing reliability, security, engineering velocity, cost, complexity, and business needs • Ability to operate effectively during production incidents and maintain ownership through resolution and follow-up • Demonstrated ability to leverage AI-assisted engineering tools and critically evaluate AI-generated infrastructure changes before production use • Deep experience designing, operating, troubleshooting, and improving highly available production systems in cloud environments • Strong experience with Kubernetes, containerization, and modern cloud-native infrastructure • Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, OpenTofu, or similar technologies • Strong understanding of CI/CD, GitOps, automated deployment practices, and modern software delivery workflows • Experience with monitoring, logging, tracing, alerting, and incident-management practices • Strong understanding of reliability engineering, failure modes, resilience, capacity, recovery, and operational risk • Experience with secure infrastructure patterns, access controls, secrets management, system hardening, and cloud security practices • Strong Linux and systems troubleshooting skills across applications, containers, networks, infrastructure, and cloud services • Strong experience operating production workloads in AWS or a comparable cloud platform • Experience with GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, or similar platforms • Experience with Datadog or similar observability platforms • Strong scripting or programming ability using Python, Bash, or another appropriate language • Working knowledge of networking, DNS, CDN/WAF technologies, load balancing, TLS, and application-delivery architecture • Experience supporting MySQL, Redis, Redshift, or similar stateful systems • Strong communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders • Ability to collaborate with Software Engineering, Analytics Engineering, Product, Security, and other teams • Self-driven, highly autonomous, and comfortable operating in a remote-first environment • Ability to challenge existing approaches constructively and influence technical direction • Demonstrated ability to mentor engineers and raise engineering standards • Must be currently authorized to work in India at hire and maintain authorization throughout employment • Employer work visa sponsorship and support are not provided • Pre-employment screening required
