📋 Description

• Analyze architectural and structural blueprints • Generate precise material takeoffs and competitive cost estimates for light-gauge/structural steel framing and wood framing packages • Prepare drawings from supplied plans and sketches • Perform component-based material take-offs from prepared shop drawings • Manage the department’s day-to-day workflow and output • Prioritize and assign projects • Calculate project time and budget estimates based on required materials and resources • Maintain a system for recurring or standard projects • Ensure finished projects align with customer and project requirements • Perform other job-related duties as required

🎯 Requirements

• Advanced English Knowledge: upper intermediate, advanced or proficient • Strong and verifiable engineering/architectural background and experience • 2+ years of construction estimating experience • Hands-on knowledge of wood and steel framing systems • Knowledge of software tools such as AutoCAD, PlanSwift, Countfire, etc. • Ability to perform drafting, layout work, straightforward calculations, take-offs, and budgets relative to construction details • Ability to prepare drawings from supplied plans and sketches • Ability to perform component-based material take-offs from prepared shop drawings • Professional attitude and ethical behavior • Solid written and verbal communication skills • Ability to communicate and convey information between expert teams • Organization skills and attention to detail • Ability to identify, establish, and assign priorities • Ability to follow orders or specific instructions when needed • PlanSwift knowledge or similar software is desirable • Ability to manage day-to-day workflow and output of the department, prioritizing and assigning projects • Ability to calculate project time and budget estimates based on materials and resources required • Ability to maintain a system for recurring or standard projects • Ability to ensure finished projects align with customer and project requirements • Comfort using Hubstaff time tracking software • Own computer (laptop/desktop) with internet access • Ability to provide a 1.5–2 minute voice note in English • U.S. citizenship or a U.S. work permit is asked about for eligibility
