📋 Description

• Own SEO strategy end to end for small-business automotive detailing, paint protection film, ceramic coating, and window tint clients • Manage and evaluate white-label SEO vendors, including scope, deliverables, turnaround, quality, pricing, service levels, and contract terms • Recommend whether to keep, renegotiate, or replace each vendor • Identify two to four scopes of work to bring in house and develop repeatable standard operating procedures • Own Google Business Profile optimization, map pack ranking strategy, and on-page SEO for client accounts • Diagnose ranking issues and create prioritized client-specific action plans • Track and report local ranking movement, map pack visibility, and organic traffic using Ahrefs and other tools • Develop strategies for AI Overviews, LLM-based search, and zero-click behavior, translating them into testable content, schema, and citation-focused deliverables • Monitor algorithm and AI search changes and adjust client strategies • Direct and edit SEO content, including briefs, structure, on-page optimization, and quality control • Serve as the internal SEO consultant on website development builds so sites launch search ready • Report results in plain language and translate performance trends into actionable improvements • Help hire, train, and lead additional SEO team members as the department grows

🎯 Requirements

• 6+ years of hands-on SEO experience with demonstrable results improving local/SMB rankings (map pack position, GBP visibility, organic traffic) • Working knowledge of Ahrefs and/or comparable tools for keyword research, rank tracking, competitor analysis, and gap analysis • Competence across traditional technical and on-page SEO, local map grid tracking, AI-driven SEO, and answer engine optimization • Experience editing or directing content written by someone else, with a clear point of view on what makes SEO content rank and convert • Genuine, current interest in AI-driven search • Comfortable working independently in a remote, contract-to-hire structure with limited existing infrastructure • Proven ability to translate high-level SEO strategy into measurable business results • Excellent communication skills with non-technical stakeholders and clients
