📋 Description

• Line-manage an assigned team of highly skilled and specialized Field Service Engineers • Manage performance and development of the assigned FSE team • Communicate internally with the team • Lead and facilitate regular team meetings • Coordinate regularly with the sales and service team • Schedule staff efficiently • Review FSE support requests with 2nd line support • Manage escalations • Participate in customer meetings • Handle critical customer communication with the service manager • Ensure health and safety protocols are followed • Coordinate technical and non-technical training • Support regional service manager installation planning and preparation with the Regional Installation Project Manager and regional experts • Take on field service activities typically 50% of normal working hours depending on team size

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in mechatronics, electronics/engineering, or equivalent • 3–5 years of experience in a related field • Experience with TEM and/or SEM/SDB and/or XPS products is a plus • Experience managing a team of Field Service Engineers is a plus • Strong leadership and mentoring skills • Experience troubleshooting and repairing high-tech systems • Technical competence corresponding to Engineer II level or higher • Electron Microscopy preferred • Excellent communication skills in English, German or French at B2 level or above are preferred • Highly organized and able to control administrative tasks • Excellent planning and organizational skills • Negotiation skills and commercial mindset • Challenges the status quo and seeks opportunities to improve • Valid driving license (B)
