📋 Description
• Support HSI by facilitating stakeholder engagement and coordination. • Lead information gathering and validation activities. • Contribute to the successful preparation of Eswatini's National Health Financing Dialogue (NHFD). • Report to HSI’s Program Director, Matt Boxshall. • Identify and obtain relevant national health financing documents, policies, strategies, and analytical reports. • Provide country-specific technical expertise related to Eswatini's health financing system, policy environment, governance arrangements, and reform priorities. • Produce the first draft of the Health Financing Landscape Report and revise it in response to HSI's feedback. • Identify evidence gaps requiring further validation. • Review and provide technical comments on draft reports, presentations, and other dissemination materials prepared by HSI. • Contribute country-specific recommendations that strengthen the report's findings and policy recommendations. • Support refinement of stakeholder mapping and identification of priority stakeholders for consultation. • Coordinate and schedule key informant interviews with government, development partners, civil society organizations, academia, and private sector stakeholders. • Conduct approximately 10–15 key informant interviews using interview guides developed in partnership with HSI. • Prepare concise summaries of each interview highlighting key findings and recommendations. • Facilitate communication between HSI and national stakeholders throughout implementation. • Support implementation of HSI's stakeholder engagement plan. • Participate in stakeholder validation meetings and document stakeholder feedback. • Support validation of report findings and recommendations. • Provide regular updates to HSI regarding stakeholder engagement activities, emerging policy developments, and implementation risks. • Support planning activities leading up to the National Health Financing Dialogue.
🎯 Requirements
• Master's degree (or higher) in Health Economics, Health Financing, Public Health, Health Policy, Business Administration, or another relevant discipline. • Demonstrated experience working on health financing in Eswatini. • Strong understanding of Eswatini's health financing system and current policy environment. • Existing professional relationships with the Ministry of Health, Ministry of Finance, development partners, and other key health sector stakeholders. • Experience conducting stakeholder consultations and qualitative interviews. • Strong analytical, writing, and communication skills. • Experience reviewing policy documents or contributing to health financing analyses. • Excellent written and spoken English.
