📋 Description

• Participate in all phases of the software development life cycle, including requirements gathering, technical design, estimations, sprint planning, coding, testing, deployments, and on-call support • Own, operate, and maintain team services in a distributed production environment • Design and implement real-time services with high-throughput and low-latency requirements • Verify, deploy, and operationalize services • Work with stakeholders to understand customer needs and deliver simple, robust, and scalable solutions • Collaborate through detailed technical documentation with leads, architects, and cross-functional teams • Scale a complex distributed platform with globally distributed points of presence • Develop novel solutions for customer problems in the Voice channel • Continuously deliver customer value using agile methodologies

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience in a large scale, distributed applications environment on JVM based technologies • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related engineering field • Strong Computer Science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and distributed systems • Experience building RESTful services, API design, and event-driven architectures such as Kafka and SQS • Hands-on experience designing and driving the optimization of CI/CD pipelines • Experience with on-call rotations, incident response, and monitoring/alerting tools including Prometheus, Datadog, and Grafana • Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructures such as AWS, GCP, OpenStack, or Azure • Excellent written communication skills for AI prompting and clear technical documentation • Ability to critically evaluate AI-generated code for correctness, security, performance, and maintainability • Hands-on Java experience with strong fundamentals, including architecting, reviewing, and debugging code • Demonstrated proficiency with AI coding assistants such as Claude, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar • Experience scaling data tiers using SQL/NoSQL databases and caching technologies • Hands-on experience scaling production backend systems and designing horizontally scalable, resilient systems that perform under load • Strong team collaboration skills • Demonstrated technical leadership through architectural decisions, cross-functional technical initiatives, and mentoring • Occasional travel may be required for project or team in-person meetings
