📋 Description

• Design, develop and quality assure secondary school course content and learning activities for online delivery • Ensure content aligns with curriculum requirements, SACAI requirements and Valenture’s internal learning design standards • Plan and analyse subject areas to recommend design solutions and strategies for online delivery • Use Valenture’s learning management system and learning technologies to make online learning design decisions • Design formative learning, practice and mastery activities • Design and develop curriculum-aligned summative assessments, marking guidelines and assessment materials • Develop and adapt curriculum-aligned source material into engaging online learning experiences • Research and source reference materials to support course development • Collaborate with Product, Learning Technology and production specialists on media and interactive learning elements • Develop educational content from various sources into richly augmented online formats • Brief graphics and track external asset usage • Follow learning design principles, development processes, templates, SOPs and quality standards • Review and quality assure work before submission • Participate in peer reviews and quality assurance activities, implementing feedback • Review learning design effectiveness and contribute to course and process improvements • Manage assigned development work against timelines and communicate progress, blockers and risks to the Senior Learning Designer • Collaborate with Learning Designers and Product, Learning Technology and operational stakeholders • Participate in team rhythms, reviews and development planning

🎯 Requirements

• A relevant teaching qualification, with appropriate subject specialisation for the subject being developed • Demonstrated knowledge of the CAPS curriculum • Experience teaching or developing learning material in the relevant subject and phase • Experience in learning design, curriculum development or development of high-quality digital learning content is advantageous • Experience in the EdTech field is advantageous • Knowledge of digital learning principles and practices is advantageous • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy • Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders and build collaborative work relationships • Strong written, verbal, and visual communication skills • Comfortable working remotely and independently • Ability to learn quickly and work in a team environment • Demonstrated ability and flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritise work appropriately • Stable internet connection required
