• Be among the leaders of the practice with responsibilities to help build the business consulting organization through recruiting, mentoring/coaching of staff and business development activities • Lead business development opportunities – identify and generate new project opportunities, clarify the customers issues and need, be able to develop a compelling, differentiated proposal to solve these issues and win new work • Leverage your network to identify opportunities and develop our business and build new relationships • Establishing relationships with client personnel at appropriate levels within the commercial organization and serving as a primary contact for strategic questions • Support in the creation of new campaigns, offerings and thought leadership that differentiate Business Consulting in the market • Lead multiple project engagement teams – empowering the team to plan and manage all aspects of delivery, from scope to quality assurance • Staying abreast of current business and industry trends relevant to the client's business
• 10+ years in Life Sciences advisory and industry experience, particularly in the Commercial Operations/Commercial Excellence and/or consulting to this sector • Good understanding of the business capabilities and drivers underpinning digital technology in Life Sciences and market forces driving industry changes • Strong leadership skills and track record of developing and delivering advisory engagements including the ability to manage client relationships and engagement economics • Extensive network of stakeholders within leadership positions in Life Science companies • Core management consulting skills, including workshop facilitation, client presentations, project management, and ability to develop structured approaches/methodologies to business problems • Deep understanding across the entire Commercial value chain with recognized mastery in two or more of the following areas: Brand strategy, product launch, go to market strategy, commercial model design, key account planning and management, segmentation and targeting, multi-channel strategy, and commercial analytics • Ability to travel roughly 50% but this can vary depending on engagement • An effective communicator verbally and written in both English and Japanese • Valid working visa in Japan is required
