📋 Description

• Lead small groups of 4–12 travelers on 2–3 week tours across Japan • Provide clear information about destinations and share enthusiasm for Japanese culture • Create joyful, memorable experiences for travelers • Plan and prepare daily itineraries and adapt to unexpected situations with a Plan B • Participate in training sessions and pre-tour briefings • Assist travelers with questions and provide excellent customer service • Prioritize traveler safety and ensure partners meet quality, safety, and sustainability standards • Respond effectively to emergencies while staying calm and following established procedures • Report directly to the Executive Director of Japaventura

🎯 Requirements

• Advanced English (C1) for client communication • Good Japanese (B2) to support tour operations • Currently living in Japan or having lived in Japan for at least one year • Deep understanding of Japan’s culture, traditions, daily life, history, and current events • Organized, reliable, motivated, and solution-oriented under pressure • Cooperative and communicative, with a positive and professional demeanor • Strong English communication skills • Prior experience in tourism or as a guide is a bonus
