📋 Description

• Conduct rigorous testing across iOS, Android tablets and phones, desktops, Smart Home devices, and Health devices • Develop, update, and execute test plans, functional test cases, and exploratory test scenarios for new features and bug fixes • Test applications across system versions, screen resolutions, and hardware specifications to identify device-specific issues • Identify, reproduce, and document detailed bug reports with logs, reproduction steps, screenshots, and video recordings • Perform regression and sanity testing before production releases • Validate internationalization support, including Unicode/UTF-8, string externalization, hard-coded string detection, bidirectional text, variable expansion, and locale-aware sorting/filtering • Verify translated UI elements across multiple languages for accuracy, context, and formatting compliance • Conduct pseudo-localization builds during early development cycles • Review localized UI for visual integrity across screen sizes and coordinate linguistic reviews with native-speaking linguists or translation agencies • Manage translation asset workflows in Translation Management Systems such as Smartling, Phrase, Transifex, or Lokalise • Integrate localization tooling with code repositories and build pipelines

🎯 Requirements

• Hands-on experience in localization and internationalization testing, primarily focused on mobile and physical device testing • Experience testing Smart Home and Health devices, including smartwatches, health trackers, smart displays, speakers, home security cameras, and camera doorbells • Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC), QA best practices, software testing methodologies, test planning, and manual/exploratory testing techniques • Ability to think and execute testing from a user’s perspective • Strong understanding of character encoding (UTF-8, UTF-16), ICU standards, CLDR data, resource file formats (JSON, XML, .po, .strings, XLIFF), and bidirectional (BiDi/RTL) layout handling • Hands-on experience identifying truncation, text overlap, line wrapping, and font rendering issues across localized builds • Hands-on experience testing on physical devices and cloud-based device testing platforms such as BrowserStack, Sauce Labs, or Kobiton • Solid understanding of iOS ecosystem, including TestFlight and Xcode logs • Solid understanding of Android ecosystem, including ADB, Logcat, APK installation, and debugging utilities • Basic familiarity with Charles Proxy, Fiddler, or Postman • Basic understanding of test automation concepts or scripting to partner with automation engineers • Experience testing IoT devices, wearables, or specialized embedded systems • Familiarity with accessibility standards such as WCAG, VoiceOver, and TalkBack • Experience with Translation Management Systems such as Smartling, Phrase, Crowdin, Transifex, or Lokalise • Experience with defect management platforms such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or Buganizer • Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum development cycles and QA methodologies • Professional proficiency in English; fluency or native-level proficiency in additional languages is a strong plus • Familiarity with regional regulatory, privacy, or cultural standards in EMEA, APAC, or LATAM markets
