📋 Description

• Architect and implement solutions to maintain “Always On” availability for Visa’s application services • Automate monitoring, deployment, and incident response processes • Lead investigations and troubleshooting activities to resolve complex technical issues and prevent future incidents • Collaborate with global engineering teams to build, support, and deploy application services • Build and maintain documentation repositories for knowledge transfer • Participate in on-call rotations, including off-hours, to support business operations • Automate routine tasks and processes to reduce human errors • Contribute to tooling for the CI/CD platform, Feature Flags, and integrated developer portal • Influence architectural decisions and drive innovation across systems processing billions of transactions

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree, or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree, or 0 years of work experience with a PhD, OR 8+ years of relevant work experience • Experience in Kubernetes and related technologies such as Helm, ArgoCD, and Terraform • Experience automating complex tasks and processes using Python, Go, and Java • Experience building and maintaining developer tooling such as CI/CD pipelines • Experience working with Agile teams • Experience in fast-paced 24x7 environments • Experience in distributed systems design and maintenance • Experience in cloud and system architecture across hybrid platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) • Experience in observability and performance optimization techniques • Experience working as a software developer • Digital fluency, including ability to work with emerging technologies such as Generative AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot)
