📋 Description

• Write and review linguistic content at native-level proficiency to ensure accuracy for customers using multimedia platforms • Produce fully localized content and flag cultural issues, wording concerns, and suggestions for target markets • Localize, translate, and adapt multimedia, legal, technical, and marketing content according to style guides • Write copy for music, TV, app store apps, video-on-demand, and game subscription services • Review own work and other localization team members' work across content types • Copy-edit and fact-check content for accuracy • Perform Localization QA testing on live-platform content, including music and app descriptions and marketing materials • Conduct market-specific research on content treatment, terminology trends, and localization practices • Transcribe spoken content such as lyrics • Report on data and assets across media and content types • Review linguistic assessments and create training materials and documents for new projects • Train localization counterparts on terminology, style, and best practices • Collaborate with the global language team through virtual meetings and email to calibrate terminology and style and address market-specific needs

🎯 Requirements

• BS/BA • 2+ years of work experience in journalism, copywriting, or copyediting media content such as music, TV and applications • Proof of writing samples • Experience in translation and localization of multimedia content • Ability to quickly detect issues and inconsistencies from a massive sea of content and make sound judgement calls based on information at hand • Wide-ranging knowledge of music artists, TV and cinema, gaming and pop culture • Ability to own the language market and make confident linguistic decisions • Highly detail-oriented with ability to multitask, prioritize and meet deadlines • Fluency in written and verbal English • Strong computer literacy • Knowledge of iOS/macOS systems is a plus • Ability to type in the native-level language using a local English keyboard • Ability to work independently and remotely • Collaborative and enjoys teamwork in a multicultural environment
