📋 Description

• Localize, translate and adapt content across various categories while adhering to writing style guides and guidelines • Write new copy for multimedia products including music, TV, apps, video-on-demand and game subscription services • Perform regular linguistic reviews of own work and work by other localization team members • Copy-edit and fact-check content for accuracy • Perform Localization QA testing on content published on live platforms, including music and app descriptions, marketing materials and campaigns • Conduct market-specific research on local content treatment, content, product and terminology trends, and localization practices • Transcribe spoken content such as lyrics • Report on data and assets across a broad range of media and content types • Review linguistic assessments and create training materials and documents for new projects • Train localization team counterparts on terminology, style and best practices • Collaborate with the global language team through virtual meetings and email on content review tasks, terminology, style, trends, market insights and translations

🎯 Requirements

• BS/BA and 2+ years of work experience in journalism, copywriting, or copyediting media content such as music, TV and applications, with proof of writing samples • Experience in translation and localization of multimedia content • Ability to quickly detect issues and inconsistencies from a massive sea of content and make sound judgement calls based on information at hand • Wide-ranging knowledge of music artists, TV and cinema, gaming and pop culture • Ability to own the language market and make confident linguistic decisions • Highly detail-oriented with an ability to multitask, prioritize and meet deadlines • Fluency in written and verbal English • Strong computer literacy; knowledge of iOS/MacOS systems is a plus • Ability to type in the native-level language using a local (English) keyboard • Ability to work independently and remotely • Collaborative; enjoys teamwork in a multicultural environment
