📋 Description

• Build the foundation of WeTravel’s Supply Team product from early access to a platform used by thousands of operators • Lead features end-to-end from user interviews and product design through architecture, implementation, deployment, and production monitoring • Partner with Product to discover user problems, shape solutions, and decide what to build • Write maintainable frontend and backend code using TypeScript/React and Ruby on Rails • Build resilient, monitored applications and respond to incidents through on-call responsibilities • Mentor teammates and contribute to engineering practices and excellence • Develop quoting, supplier and product catalog, partner network, supplier onboarding, verification, payouts, supplier arrangements, commission flows, and booking marketplace capabilities

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years of software engineering experience, ideally full-stack • Strong product ownership mindset • Hands-on experience with React and TypeScript; frontend ownership is required • Solid backend experience in Python, Go, Java/Kotlin, .NET, Node/TypeScript, or Ruby • Built and launched new products in a startup or scale-up and supported growth from 0 → 1 → 100 • Experience across the stack and across different kinds of problems • Experience with distributed systems, microservices, and event-driven architecture • Strong systems thinking and attention to scalability • Experience operating production applications, including monitoring, alerting, and on-call • Excellent communication skills and experience working in multicultural, distributed teams • Experience leading projects and mentoring engineers • Experience using AI assistants such as Cursor, Claude Code, or Codex • Legally authorized to work in the country of the job post • Preferred: Ruby on Rails • Preferred: experience with marketplaces, supplier/vendor networks, payments/fintech, travel-tech, B2B2C platforms, or quoting/booking/costing systems • Preferred: AWS/Kubernetes infrastructure experience • Preferred: component libraries, design systems, micro-frontends, or React Native • Preferred: AI-enabled or agentic application experience • Preferred: customer interviews and user research
