📋 Description

• Serve as senior technical leader for Money, Risk & Payment Anciliaries • Own architecture across risk, fraud, scams, money operations, reconciliations, and chargebacks • Set technical direction using versioned APIs and event-driven design • Architect low-latency systems that score transactions for risk and fraud before or at authorization • Build money operations and reconciliation systems with idempotency, exactly-once semantics, and auditable ledgers • Design platforms for scam prevention and the chargeback and dispute lifecycle • Design highly available, compliant, bank-grade systems for a zero-tolerance-for-failure environment • Champion You Build It, You Run It culture, including multi-tenancy, elastic scaling, automated observability, and production ownership • Mentor engineers and partner with Product, Data/ML, Compliance, and Staff Engineers on complex cross-team work • Use AI-assisted tooling across design, implementation, testing, and review, and shape unit adoption • Lead architecture of at least one core capability within the first 6–12 months

🎯 Requirements

• Extensive software engineering experience, with deep expertise in Go and/or Kotlin and strength across the full stack • Proven track record architecting robust, scalable, and maintainable distributed systems that are event-driven, high-throughput, and low-latency • Strong grasp of design patterns and best practices • Experience building financial or risk-critical systems where correctness, consistency, and auditability matter • Strong experience with AWS and cloud-native services, including RDS, ECS, EKS, and S3 • Excellent automated testing practices across unit, integration, and end-to-end testing • Experience working within Agile, DevSecOps, and CI/CD workflows • Proven technical leadership, including mentoring engineers, driving technical vision, and delivering complex cross-team projects • Familiarity with DORA metrics • Judgment to balance reliability and compliance against feature velocity • Advanced written and spoken English proficiency • Preferred: fraud/risk scoring models and ML feature pipelines; double-entry ledgers and reconciliation; chargeback and dispute frameworks with card-network rules; or APP-scam prevention • Preferred: Kafka, exactly-once processing, or event sourcing • Preferred: payments or fintech industry experience at global scale • Preferred: performance optimization and efficient algorithms for high-throughput, low-latency systems • Preferred: static analysis and code-quality tooling such as SonarQube and mature CI/CD pipelines • Nice to have: introducing engineering practices or standards across multiple teams • Nice to have: open-source contributions or technical writing • Nice to have: Spanish proficiency
