📋 Description

• Own the architecture of Trust & Vault across vaulting, authentication, optimization, account updater, and portfolio migration • Set technical direction with versioned APIs and event-driven design • Architect systems that tokenize, store, and retrieve raw card data within the PCI boundary • Build and evolve 3DS/SCA and network tokenization authentication capabilities • Design payment optimization capabilities to improve authorization and acceptance rates • Design headless, PCI-compliant, bank-grade resilient systems • Champion the You Build It, You Run It culture • Design for multi-tenancy, elastic scaling, and automated observability • Own microservices in production • Mentor engineers and partner with Product, the CTO Office, and Staff Engineers across domains • Deliver complex cross-team work • Lead architecture of at least one core Trust & Vault capability within the first 6–12 months

🎯 Requirements

• +8 Years of Experience • Extensive software engineering experience • Deep expertise in Go and/or Kotlin and strength across the full stack • Proven track record architecting robust, scalable, and maintainable distributed systems • Experience with event-driven platforms, APIs (gRPC/REST), and cloud-native or serverless architectures • Experience building foundational platform capabilities or complex distributed systems • Strong experience with AWS and cloud-native services (RDS, ECS, EKS, S3, and similar) • Excellent unit, integration, and end-to-end automated testing practices • Experience within Agile, DevSecOps, and CI/CD workflows • Proven technical leadership, mentoring, technical vision, and complex cross-team project delivery • Advanced English proficiency, written and spoken • Preferred: PCI DSS card vaulting, tokenization, network tokenization, 3DS/SCA, account updater, payment optimization, payments or fintech experience, performance optimization, efficient algorithms, static analysis, code-quality tooling, and mature CI/CD pipelines • Nice to have: new engineering practices across teams, open-source contributions or technical writing, Spanish proficiency
