📋 Description

• Own end-to-end delivery of frontend features across internal tooling products, from design documentation through production and post-release monitoring • Build and extend Vue 3 design-system components, including their API surfaces for consuming engineers • Integrate REST APIs serving serverless and EKS services • Design frontend experiences for eventual consistency, retries, idempotent submissions, and partial failures • Instrument frontend work in Datadog and carry correlation IDs through to the backend • Write and review design documents • Participate in design-document review sessions • Run Knowledge Sharing Sessions for the wider engineering organization • Communicate feature-development status clearly to the team and stakeholders • Follow and help shape coding standards, development processes, and design best practices • Ensure quality through thorough testing and peer review • Participate in the Commercial development support rota approximately once every five weeks • Write and maintain clean, maintainable, and well-tested platform code • Collaborate with the Technical Lead, Product Managers, designers, backend engineers, internal business partners, and external business contacts

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Frontend Engineer • Expert-level proficiency with Vue 3, Composition API, and TypeScript • Strong React or Svelte experience may be considered with a credible case for quickly learning Vue 3 • Deep understanding of modern JavaScript, component-based architecture, and state-management patterns such as Pinia • Strong experience with modern CSS and SCSS, token-based styling, responsive design, and cross-browser compatibility • Experience building and optimizing scalable, high-performance UIs, including data-dense tables, dashboards, and forms with strict validation rules • Experience building or maintaining shared component libraries or design systems, including versioning, breaking changes, and consumer migration paths • Strong experience with RESTful APIs and integration patterns • Ability to reason about distributed backends and failure • Understanding of frontend application security, including XSS, CSRF, content security policies, and secure client-side data handling • Experience with AWS, particularly CloudFront, S3, Cognito, and CodeArtifact • Experience with Vitest, Jest, Vue Test Utils, Cypress, or Playwright • Experience with Storybook for component development • FinTech, Crypto, or highly regulated-environment experience strongly preferred • Exposure to African markets or multi-currency, multi-regulator environments • Knowledge of serverless architectures • Familiarity with Datadog RUM, logs, and traces • Understanding of WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards • Experience with frontend CI/CD pipelines and automated release tools such as release-please and Conventional Commits • Experience deprecating and migrating from a legacy frontend • Practical use of AI coding tools • Clear and accurate written and verbal communication • Interest in learning and sharing trends in modern web and backend frameworks
