Zapay is a Brazilian fintech that helps vehicle owners consult and pay their vehicle-related debts by license plate. It offers a free online and mobile app that aggregates débito from 27 state DETRANs and other authorities, enabling users to view IPVA, licensing, fines and Dívida Ativa in a single screen and to pay or parcel those debts (up to 12x) via credit card, PIX or boleto. Zapay is accredited with national traffic authorities (DETRAN, DENATRAN, SENATRAN), issues CRLV digital in supported states, and provides both online and in-person payment channels and customer support.

📋 Description

• Lead end-to-end design problems and projects, from discovery through solution implementation and iteration. • Translate customer needs and business objectives into simple, intuitive, and relevant experiences. • Conduct research, interviews, usability tests, and validations to support design decisions. • Create UX and UI solutions, considering interaction, information architecture, and visual quality. • Partner with Product, Technology, Data, and other teams to define and evolve solutions. • Clearly advocate for design decisions using data, research, and business rationale. • Identify opportunities, challenge assumptions, and propose improvements to the product and the design process. • Explore and apply Artificial Intelligence in the design process to increase efficiency, accelerate solution exploration, support research and analysis, and assist with prototyping and documentation.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Product Designer or in similar roles working on digital products. • Strong command of UX, UI, Visual Design, and Interaction Design. • Experience with qualitative research, interviews, and usability testing. • Experience working in multidisciplinary environments and closely with Product and Technology teams. • Autonomy, a strong sense of ownership, and the ability to lead complex problems. • Excellent communication skills and the ability to present and advocate for design decisions. • Proficiency in Figma. • Familiarity with Notion and Miro. • A portfolio demonstrating process, decisions, and outcomes—not just final interfaces. • Familiarity with Product Design processes that use Artificial Intelligence. • Experience with large-scale or highly complex products (nice to have). • Experience with experimentation and using metrics to inform decision-making (nice to have). • Practical experience using AI to enhance the design process (nice to have). • Interest in sharing knowledge and contributing to the team's development (nice to have). • A challenging, curious mindset focused on creating increasingly better experiences for customers (nice to have).
