📋 Description

• Reverse-engineer the hardest antibot and fingerprinting systems on the web across JS VMs, WASM, and polymorphic/obfuscated code. • Build JS function tracing, deobfuscation pipelines, and fingerprint-inspection tooling for fast, repeatable, largely automated workflows. • Use LLMs, agents, and custom automation to deobfuscate, classify, and diagnose detection surfaces. • Build and maintain website intelligence pipelines with checkpointed history and baseline diffing. • Feed AI reverse-engineering and ban-resolution systems the context, signals, and structured intelligence needed to resolve cases autonomously. • Codify one-off reverse-engineering wins into reusable tools, rules, and pipelines. • Integrate tooling into Zyte's custom browser and automation stack. • Collaborate across engineering and mentor others in AI-augmented reverse-engineering techniques.

🎯 Requirements

• A hacker mindset — able to rapidly develop proof-of-concepts and working tools to get to a result, and comfortable with the inherent uncertainty and open-endedness of the work. • Demonstrated use of AI tooling (LLMs, coding agents, automation) to accelerate your own engineering, with a strong instinct for what to automate and when. • Strong proficiency in JavaScript/Node.js and Python, with a broad programming background and exceptional problem-solving ability. • Strong research, debugging, fuzzing, and reverse-engineering skills, including static, dynamic, and concolic analysis. • Hands-on experience reversing JavaScript VMs, WASM, and heavily obfuscated or polymorphic code. • A deep understanding of operating systems and computer networking concepts. • Adept with tools such as Wireshark, Burp Suite, and similar for intercepting and debugging network traffic. • Understanding of browser engines, browser fingerprinting, and antibot/anti-scraping mechanisms. • Approach prioritization logically and with a measurement-backed strategy, and thrive in a collaborative environment. • Bonus points for experience with reverse-engineering tools like IDA, Ghidra, Frida, or Babel. • Bonus points for experience building tooling or pipelines that feed machine-learning or AI systems. • Bonus points for experience with C/C++ and Rust. • Bonus points for core contributions to Mozilla or Chromium projects.
