Beschreibung

• Lead onsite activities for equipment start-up, testing, installation, and commissioning of medium- and low-voltage power delivery systems in mission-critical data centers • Execute work according to project scope, quality standards, schedule targets, safety requirements, ABB procedures, customer standards, and commissioning strategy • Coordinate daily activities with the Project Manager regarding resource readiness, material availability, and milestones • Serve as ABB’s primary onsite representative for clients, commissioning firms, contractors, and other stakeholders • Communicate daily progress, issues, and risks; support customer meetings, walk-downs, and documentation reviews • Plan onsite activities, labor, equipment needs, commissioning sequences, and coordination routines • Collaborate with general contractors, electrical contractors, safety managers, and commissioning teams • Manage receiving, handling, staging, and storage of ABB-delivered equipment • Implement ABB HSE standards, maintain site-specific safety plans, ensure personnel training and compliance, and stop unsafe work when necessary • Complete field documentation including test reports, start-up checklists, redlines, field service reports, and punch-list updates • Maintain current drawings and documentation; support audits, inspections, and customer acceptance • Oversee ABB-hired subcontractors and coordinate multi-trade interfaces • Resolve field issues and clarify scope questions • Monitor site costs, projected final costs, schedule progress, and corrective actions • Manage onsite purchasing within established guidelines • Staff, coach, direct, and support ABB field engineers, technicians, and support staff • Coordinate accommodations, site facilities, tooling, and workspaces for ABB personnel

🎯 Anforderungen

• 10+ years of experience in electrical equipment field service, start-up, testing, or commissioning • Experience with OEM-manufactured LV/MV/HV equipment preferred • Experience supporting data center construction or mission-critical electrical infrastructure projects • Strong knowledge of commissioning processes, electrical protection systems, and power distribution equipment • High school diploma required • Advanced electrical or mechanical training preferred • Ability to travel 75% throughout North America, often for extended durations • Demonstrated ability to lead onsite operations in fast-paced, schedule-driven environments • Familiarity with engineered solutions including modern digital protection systems and IEC 61850 environments preferred
