Beschreibung

• Serve as Ably’s sole in-house recruiter, reporting to the VP of People • Own hiring end-to-end, from calibrating briefs with hiring managers through signed offers • Define and improve interview processes, recruiting tools, sourcing methods, and candidate experience • Run full-cycle recruiting across engineering, GTM, and other roles • Recruit deeply technical engineering candidates, including distributed systems engineers • Work closely with hiring managers, including the CTO • Calibrate hiring briefs and translate complex technical requirements into clear candidate profiles • Conduct outbound sourcing, screening, interviews, and offer closing • Support offers and compensation conversations alongside the People team • Improve structured interviews and scorecards for fair, consistent evaluation • Optimize Greenhouse and hiring reporting • Apply AI to sourcing, outreach, screening, and administrative work • Manage and negotiate recruitment agency relationships • Shape Ably’s employer brand and candidate experience • Help new hires integrate successfully before they start

🎯 Anforderungen

• Track record of finding and closing high-calibre engineers, ideally in infrastructure or distributed systems • Technical grounding sufficient to earn engineers’ respect • Strong judgement when partnering with hiring managers • Experience calibrating hiring briefs, giving honest feedback, and running structured, fair interview processes • Proven full-cycle recruiting experience, ideally as the sole or lead recruiter in a start-up or scale-up • Experience hiring across the UK and Europe • Hands-on outbound sourcing and market mapping • Demonstrated metrics showing sourcing effectiveness • Habit of using AI in work • Experience managing recruitment agencies, including negotiating terms and holding them accountable • Experience hiring for developer tools, AI, or open source companies is a bonus • Agency recruiting background is a bonus • Familiarity with Greenhouse ATS is a bonus • Active presence in technology or recruiting communities and comfort being a public face for Ably is a bonus
