Beschreibung

• Provide technical leadership for multi-quarter initiatives in digital fundraising • Enable fundraising administrators to integrate and manage contribution data across diverse toolsets • Develop a self-managed suite of tools and advance reporting and integration capabilities • Work full-stack with Ruby on Rails, PostgreSQL, React, and TypeScript • Architect systems and establish technical foundations for integrations and data exchange • Partner with product, design, and cross-functional teams to improve performance, reliability, scalability, and maintainability • Architect and lead database modernization efforts and optimize large-scale systems • Design and implement scalable data solutions and robust APIs • Lead technical execution of large, cross-team initiatives and balance technical tradeoffs • Break down initiative-level work across epics and contribute to roadmap prioritization • Improve database performance, schemas, data retrieval, and vendor API integrations • Serve as a technical consultant on architecture, system design, extensibility, integrations, and data exchange • Establish monitoring, testing, documentation, and software quality standards • Address technical debt and support future scalability • Coach and mentor engineers and support professional development • Model effective feedback in code reviews and foster inclusive team environments

🎯 Anforderungen

• 6–8 years of relevant professional experience • Technical leadership for multi-quarter initiatives involving complex requirements, strategic thinking, and cross-team collaboration • Significant experience developing and maintaining large monolithic server-side web applications • Experience changing APIs to carry features to completion • Broad understanding of technology stacks and dependencies, impacts, needs, and risks • Expert understanding of performance, scalability, and security best practices • Experience designing and integrating third-party APIs and building extensible systems • Experience designing defensive testing frameworks and debugging complex issues across the stack • Track record of collaborating with engineers on reliable software abstractions and patterns • Willingness to explore and refactor legacy code • Ability to communicate technical concepts and translate business requirements into technical solutions • Experience coaching engineers and mentoring others • Ability to provide support during urgent situations and contribute holistic post-mortem solutions • Inclusive, collaborative, mentoring-oriented working style • Availability during regular Monday–Friday business hours • Participation in an on-call rotation, including nontraditional hours as needed • Proficiency with virtual communication tools such as Zoom and Slack • Must be able to work in the United States; ActBlue is unable to sponsor work visas
