Beschreibung

• Manage the WECC Interconnection Engineers and support their personal and professional development • Conduct strategic analysis of interconnection procedures, queue, and distribution systems in a given RTO/ISO to formulate and steer greenfield project siting • Manage preparation of interconnection requests through implementation of Interconnection Agreements with favorable terms • Lead all WECC interconnection requests and collaborate with regional Development and Execution teams throughout the project lifecycle • Monitor required system upgrades and identify mitigation solutions within applicable tariffs and processes • Lead the WECC Interconnection team across the full development and execution life cycle of projects • Support execution of new and acquired projects across the United States • Review system analyses, estimate study-process budgets and schedules, and manage technical materials with internal and external parties • Review utility report scopes of work, costs, and schedules; identify efficiencies and negotiate interconnection, engineering, and procurement agreements • Lead or assist internal groups in completing transmission-owner requirements and integrating transmission-owner schedules into construction schedules • Manage direct reports’ daily interconnection-process tasks and project-management tracking tools • Create and present periodic reports to management and internal teams

🎯 Anforderungen

• Bachelor´s in Electrical Engineering or related field • 5+ years’ work history in renewable or traditional energy development, or transmission planning • Ability to analyze power flow and system impact studies for interconnection of utility scale solar, wind, and battery storage generating facilities • Familiarity with the interconnection request package and all items required for submission • Familiarity with transmission systems and transmission expansion plans in US • Knowledge of Open Access Transmission Tariffs and Generator Interconnection Procedures for assigned region(s) • Project management experience • Previous employment or experience working with a utility TRO/ISO, or consultants providing services within the targeted footprint is strongly preferred • Some travel required (~20%)
