Beschreibung

• Manage incoming and outgoing calls from patients, guarantors, insurance companies, and attorneys • Complete conference calls and transfer calls to the appropriate department when necessary • Review and resolve uninsured accounts and residual patient financial responsibility after insurance • Investigate and specially handle accounts requiring additional review • Explain coverage details and payment options to patients and responsible parties • Take payments when necessary • Thoroughly review, document, and resolve patient or responsible-party communications • Perform skip tracing to ensure the best contact • Make financial arrangements and inform patients about Government programs or Financial CARE • Ensure reimbursement to Air Methods from patients or other responsible parties • Assist patients in understanding healthcare insurance coverage and patient liability • Make final determinations on collectability and balances • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Anforderungen

• High school diploma or GED, and two to three years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience • 2–3 years’ experience in healthcare billing/collections field; preferred • Knowledge of Government, Commercial and Private payers; preferred • 1 year’s experience in high dollar collection and financial debt counseling; preferred • Previous Dialer experience; preferred • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Excellent organizational skills; detail oriented; ability to prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines • Excellent customer service and phone skills • Strong ability to balance compassionate and empathetic customer service with account resolution goals • Excellent problem-solving skills • Bilingual in English and Spanish; preferred • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook • AAHAM certification within 6 months of hire
