Beschreibung

• Co-own end-to-end MaaS system design with the Principal Architect • Author decision records and defend technical trade-offs • Drive the platform maturity roadmap through operable, measurable, independently shippable capabilities • Set Go and API standards, mentor engineers, and align cross-functional teams • Own wire compatibility for OpenAI and Anthropic formats, including streaming, tool calling, and structured output • Evolve routing with load-aware, model-aware, and prefix-cache-aware endpoint selection, circuit breaking, and fallback mechanisms • Manage API versioning and deprecation contracts • Optimize token throughput, KV cache tiering, and p95/p99 TTFT latency • Integrate deployment tooling, LoRA multiplexing, and cold-start-aware autoscaling with Kubernetes • Scale to regional inference pools, capacity-aware failovers, and an active-active control plane • Define and defend Service Level Objectives • Conduct peak-concurrency load testing, maintain on-call runbooks, and implement load shedding • Enforce authorization, tenant isolation, zero-retention data paths, API key and OAuth credential lifecycle, distributed rate limits and quotas, and abuse/prompt-injection controls • Build idempotent exactly-once token metering and a high-volume usage ledger with prepaid spend caps and invoice reconciliation • Execute incremental zero-regression migrations using strangler replacements, shadow traffic, and stateful dual-writes • Deliver request tracing and cost telemetry with internal token and quality-attribute schemas • Ensure prompts, completions, and PII are not retained outside explicit consented policies • Own implementation end to end, including code, migrations, SLOs, and on-call for a revenue-bearing service

🎯 Anforderungen

• 8+ years of backend engineering experience • 3+ years owning a high-traffic, multi-tenant API platform for paying customers • Ability to collaborate closely with architects and write rigorous design documents • Expertise in multi-region active-active distributed systems, caching, backpressure, and performance engineering • Proven track record of zero-downtime brownfield migrations for stateful subsystems without regressions or accounting gaps • Deep hands-on proficiency with Go-based services • Production Kubernetes experience, including Envoy and GPU-aware scheduling • Knowledge of PostgreSQL, Redis, and Kafka architectural trade-offs • Experience owning end-to-end observability strategies using OpenTelemetry and high-cardinality analytics stores • Systems-level understanding of LLM serving, including server-sent-event streaming, KV/prefix caching, and TTFT/throughput trade-offs • Experience building reliable exactly-once metering and billing systems reconciling billions of events under partial failures • Ability to enforce fail-closed authorization, verified identities, and cross-tenant isolation • Operational maturity including on-call responsibilities and blameless incident reviews
