Beschreibung

• Serve as a subject matter expert and authority on the Android codebase, setting technical direction and platform standards • Lead design and implementation of complex initiatives spanning multiple sprints or quarters and potentially multiple teams • Own resolution of complex Android technical problems and evaluate trade-offs for ambiguous problems • Establish engineering standards and best practices through code reviews, architectural guidance, and mentorship • Drive architectural decisions and partner with the Architecture team on work spanning multiple systems • Unblock the team on difficult problems, mentor engineers, and grow collective technical capability • Shape the Android technical vision and roadmap with the Engineering Manager, product, and design teams • Identify risks, dependencies, and technical debt and break large initiatives into executable phases • Lead technical interviews and contribute to hiring calibration • Participate in code reviews, learning, and knowledge sharing • Stay current on Android development trends, tools, and technologies and champion quality improvements • Occasionally contribute bug fixes or shepherd community-submitted pull requests

🎯 Anforderungen

• Deep expertise developing complex Android applications with Kotlin and Jetpack Compose • Track record of leading initiatives beyond individual features • Strong command of Android UI/UX design and architecture principles • Experience setting technical standards and driving adoption across a team or organization • Familiarity with unit testing, UI testing, and snapshot testing • Experience using Claude Code or a similar generative AI coding platform • Experience with Android-specific components such as Autofill Service and Accessibility Service • Experience with Google Play internal/beta testing tracks • Proven ability to mentor and coach engineers and develop technical talent • Ability to frame complex, poorly defined problems for productive cross-team discussion • Ability to drive alignment across teams and stakeholders, resolve conflicts, and build consensus • Excellent written and verbal communication and documentation skills • Collaborative and adaptable mindset • Openness and authenticity • Excitement for open source and better internet security • Excellent problem-solving skills • Must be located in the U.S. • Bitwarden does not offer visa sponsorship at this time
