Beschreibung

• Install and customize z/OS using the IBM ServerPac for z/OS process • Apply operating system and program product fixes regularly • Analyze and debug operating system and program product issues • Install and support ISV products including CA, BMC, and Rocket Software • Estimate and plan installation, upgrade, and new customer transition projects • Provide technical assistance for Disaster Recovery exercises and Business Continuity Processes • Implement system improvements, technical approaches, and scalable solutions for complex mainframe environments • Identify and resolve performance issues • Facilitate project planning by establishing and meeting estimates, milestones, target dates, and schedules • Develop and improve installation standards • Provide technical training and mentoring • Support software-related problems and fulfill ServiceNow customer requests • Install, implement, maintain, upgrade, configure, troubleshoot, and optimize client infrastructure solutions • Maintain network hardware, software, and communication links • Ensure enterprise data integrity and security across host computers and databases • Perform database installation, patching, upgrades, tuning, monitoring, replication, backups, security, user management, and resource management • Research and recommend infrastructure products, services, and standards • Participate in Disaster Recovery exercises and planning • Follow change control, incident response, and testing processes • Monitor equipment performance, space allocation, and data growth and recommend enhancements • Create scripts to automate common tasks • Update customer incident tickets and change orders and provide status information • Create reports for business user needs • Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and training plans • Develop reusable Managed Services assets • Support client relationships through conference calls and account management collaboration • Partner with Continuous Improvement on pre-sales support, service design, and scoping • Provide technical input for proposal scope, cost, and effort estimates • Work with project managers on project plans and timelines • Attend training and obtain industry-related certifications as determined by management • Comply with time-entry and time-compliance guidelines

🎯 Anforderungen

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field and 5 years experience installing, maintaining, and supporting mainframe software products for IBM mainframes and performing system management functions, OR 9 years of equivalent experience • Demonstrated experience with z/OSMF Configuration Assistant • Demonstrated communication and presentation skills • Demonstrated ability to execute tasks associated with customers’ disaster recovery plans • Demonstrated skills in the majority of UNIX Systems Services, z/OS, REXX/CLIST, and JCL • Demonstrated experience with ISV products in system management, security, data management, application development, and performance optimization • Demonstrated ability to implement and troubleshoot IT infrastructure systems and configurations in designated area of specialty • Demonstrated ability to acquire further technical skills • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills • Demonstrated ability to multitask and prioritize workload • Demonstrated customer service skills • Demonstrated ability to investigate problems and utilize problem-solving techniques • Demonstrated ability to establish positive working relationships and work as a team player in a managed services environment • Demonstrated ability to be resourceful when working with disparate client and internal departments • Demonstrated ability to provide guidance and leadership to less experienced technical team members • Demonstrated ability to develop strong customer relationships and trust to secure future business
