Beschreibung

• Lead the design and development of scalable software solutions modernizing and automating Global Forwarding workflows • Translate business and customer problems into technical solutions across pricing, rating, carrier contracts, shipment planning, booking, visibility, documents, and operations • Design and build AI-enabled and agentic solutions that automate knowledge work and support complex decision-making • Apply large language models, intelligent agents, workflow orchestration, retrieval-augmented generation, and other AI capabilities to business processes • Develop AI-assisted workflows that interpret information, act across systems, and escalate exceptions when human judgment is required • Establish reliable enterprise AI patterns covering evaluation, observability, human-in-the-loop controls, grounding, security, auditability, and guardrails • Experiment with emerging AI and agentic technologies and evolve successful prototypes into production capabilities • Define interfaces and develop code across applications, APIs, services, data platforms, and shared capabilities • Partner with product, engineering, operations, and business stakeholders to identify automation and simplification opportunities • Design solutions for high-volume environments requiring resiliency, performance, and low-touch execution • Build integrations across internal platforms, APIs, carrier systems, external partners, messaging, and event-driven architectures • Provide technical leadership across multiple engineering teams and business domains • Improve code quality through design reviews, code reviews, automated testing, and engineering best practices • Optimize, refactor, and reuse capabilities to improve performance, maintainability, scalability, and technology investment returns • Identify and resolve performance, reliability, availability, and security risks • Incorporate security, privacy, and data-governance considerations into software and AI solutions • Develop technical documentation, architectural guidance, and reusable engineering patterns • Estimate initiatives, including dependencies, scope, effort, resources, technical risk, and skill needs • Mentor and coach software engineers through architecture discussions, reviews, pairing, knowledge sharing, and technical leadership • Collaborate with engineering and product leadership to unblock teams and resolve complex technical problems • Reduce duplication and strengthen shared platform capabilities across organizational boundaries

🎯 Anforderungen

• 8+ years of experience developing and implementing commercial software • Strong experience designing and developing applications in an object-oriented environment, such as C# and .NET • Experience designing distributed systems, APIs, services, and integrations across multiple applications or domains • Experience with relational database design and development, including schema design, stored procedures, performance tuning, and optimization • Experience with non-relational databases and modern data-storage patterns • Experience with HTTP, REST APIs, event-driven architectures, and asynchronous processing • Experience with unit, integration, acceptance, and automated testing strategies • Experience with version control systems such as Git, GitHub, and TFS • Experience with CI/CD and modern software delivery practices • Ability to solve complex technical problems spanning multiple systems, teams, or business domains • Ability to understand complex business processes and translate them into scalable, maintainable technical solutions • Ability to provide technical leadership and influence architecture without relying solely on formal authority • Strong communication skills for explaining complex technical concepts to engineering, product, business, and operational stakeholders • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IS, MIS, or another technology degree, or minimum 6 years of equivalent work experience and high school diploma/GED • Role can be based only in MN, IL, or Kansas City
