Beschreibung

• Provide in-person and telephonic Medical Case Management to injured workers • Involve patients, physicians, healthcare providers, employers, and referral sources in case management • Use medical and nursing knowledge to discuss current and alternate treatment plans with physicians • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient progress • Evaluate treatment plans for appropriateness, medical necessity, and cost effectiveness • Attend doctors’, providers’, home, and occasionally attorneys’ visits • Attend hospital and long-term facility discharge planning conferences • Determine appropriateness of care and develop effective long-term care strategies • Conduct home visits for initial evaluations • Negotiate delivery of durable medical equipment and nursing services • Manage a caseload of workers’ compensation injured workers within a defined jurisdiction • Collaborate with patients, families, medical providers, team members, and other stakeholders • Perform regular local travel, with possible overnight travel • Perform additional duties as required

🎯 Anforderungen

• Registered nurse (RN) • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing • Current RN licensure in the state of operation • RN Medical Case Manager experience is ideal • Clinical background in orthopedics, neurology, or rehabilitation preferred • Certification as a CCM, CIRS, or other Case Management certification preferred • Valid driver’s license • Reliable transportation • Ability to travel to assigned locations • Must reside in the Greater Spokane area • Effective communication and multitasking skills • Strong interpersonal, time management, and organizational skills • Computer proficiency and technical aptitude • Ability to use Microsoft Office, including Excel spreadsheets • Ability to work independently and within a team environment • Availability for local travel up to approximately 60% of the work week/month • May require overnight travel
