Beschreibung

• Work within a Property Recoveries team in a predominantly claimant-based role • Undertake general recoveries tasks and investigatory work on fast, intermediate and multi-track files • Investigate liability on claims involving escape of water, flooding, impact and fire damage • Handle own caseload, including negotiating quantum and settlement of damages with third parties • Obtain witness statements and relevant documents • Draft letters of claim and issue proceedings • Manage disclosure, instruct Counsel and experts, and progress files through to trial • Support marketing and business development activities • Maintain awareness of the firm’s core strategies and aims • Handle confidential information in line with data security protocols • Comply with client and internal billing and credit-control protocols • Manage finances on own files • Achieve key annual measures, including a minimum target of 1,440 chargeable hours per year • Participate in marketing and client-facing activities to build the business and career

🎯 Anforderungen

• 0-4 year PQE Solicitor or CILEX Lawyer • Be a Solicitor or CILEX Litigator, or have substantial pre-qualification experience • Interest in and willingness to learn insurance property damage law, including basic principles of contract law and tort • Good communication skills to liaise with clients, intermediaries and colleagues • Ability to critically assess factual evidence, identify key legal arguments and apply them • Commitment and enthusiasm with a professional attitude • Commercial awareness, resilience and confidence • Alignment with the Firm’s Cultural Principles: Clear, Creative, Determined and Supportive
