Beschreibung

• Run complex parts of the monthly close • Own critical-path close workstreams and drive them to completion • Prepare complex and judgmental schedules for stock-based compensation, leases, capitalized software, payroll and compensation accruals, intercompany, and foreign currency • Review established areas including fixed assets, prepaids, cash, recurring accruals and journal entries, AP, and expense reports • Own consolidation, the close package, and month-over-month and budget-to-actual flux narratives • Coach and develop the Senior Accountant • Hire the next accountant as the team scales • Build PBC packages, run audit walkthroughs, and respond directly to auditors during the first external audit • Design documented, evidenced, and repeatable close controls for SOX • Own close-process design, subledger and schedule migration, cutover reconciliations, and parallel-run validation in the ERP migration off Xero • Rebuild accounting workflows around AI, including reconciliation matching, anomaly detection, schedule and rollforward generation, draft entries and flux narratives, PBC assembly, and workflow automation

🎯 Anforderungen

• 6+ years of progressive accounting experience • Hands-on ownership of technical close areas, including stock compensation, leases, capitalized software, or payroll accounting • Experience reviewing another accountant’s work • Active CPA preferred • Big 4 or national firm foundation a plus • Deep operational US GAAP fluency, including capitalization judgment, equity compensation, leases, payroll and compensation, intercompany, foreign currency, and cutoff • Hands-on ERP and systems experience • Comfort with equity administration platforms such as Carta, payroll systems, close tooling such as Numeric, FloQast, or BlackLine, and spend platforms such as Ramp • Daily use of LLMs for accounting work • Specific judgment on appropriate and inappropriate uses of AI in the close • At least one AI tool or automation built and in daily use by others • Comfort vibe-coding small scripts using Python, SQL, or Apps Script • Strong reviewer instincts • Comfort with ambiguity and a bias to ship • Strong written communication • High integrity, high ownership, and low ego
