Beschreibung

• Own the monthly close, including the close calendar, journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, flux review, and reconciled financial statements • Investigate and explain key financial variances • Maintain AP and AR workflows, bill processing, billing, cash application, expense management, and hands-on bookkeeping • Own inventory accounting for physical metal, including cost per pound, inventory GL integrity, and operating-platform-to-ledger reconciliations • Reconcile bank accounts, monitor daily cash activity, prepare weekly borrowing base certificates, and facilitate banking transactions • Own payroll accounting and related accruals, reconcile payroll liability and benefits accounts, and coordinate tax filings, payments, and exemption compliance • Develop, implement, and enforce accounting policies, approval thresholds, segregation of duties, and audit-ready workpapers • Serve as primary contact for external auditors and banks • Operate QuickBooks Online, Ramp, bill-pay, and related integrations • Lead ERP evaluation and migration when needed • Supervise and extend AI automation across AP, AR, and close workflows

🎯 Anforderungen

• 5–10 years of progressive accounting experience • Full ownership of a monthly close, including calendar, entries, reconciliations, and deadlines • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required • CPA strongly preferred • Working knowledge of accruals, cutoffs, revenue recognition, inventory/COGS accounting, and internal controls • Controller-level judgment with willingness to perform hands-on bookkeeping • Deep QuickBooks Online or equivalent ERP skills • Comfort with integrated fintech stacks such as Ramp and bill-pay tools • Detail-oriented and disciplined with tie-outs and deadlines • Comfortable building processes and SOPs in an ambiguous startup environment
